Railway police rescues minor girl in Ang | KNO

Anantnag, Feb 24 (KNO): The Government Railway Police Station (RPS) Anantnag Monday rescued a minor girl and handed over her to the family. In a statement, the official said that upon receiving information, the GRPS Anantnag team, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) , promptly intercepted the girl of Krankshovan Sopore. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO, the minor girl was traveling alone from Banihal towards Sopore after being inadvertently separated from her father, who was unable to board the train at Banihal. “The vigilant personnel of RPF and GRPS Anantnag de-boarded the child safely at Anantnag Railway Station. After establishing contact with her father, she was handed over to him following the necessary legal formalities,” it reads. Adding, the Railway Police Kashmir remains steadfast in serving society by ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers—(KNO)
